About Loving Kindness and Care

Our Experience and Motivation

The U.S. population is one that is mobile and one that is aging.  This combination has caused a serious gap in our ability to provide support for the elderly.  Loving Kindness and Care was inspired to provide a better alternative for the aging and disabled.

At Loving Kindness and Care our staff is motivated by their work. We have a staff of caring professionals that are certified, and highly trained. Our staff members are chosen after psychological testing and thorough on-going evaluations that screen for not only competence, but to verify honesty, conscientiousness, compassion and dedication.

Our founder has more than 35 years of experience in home care, mental health and public service.  He has completed his Doctorate in Public Administration and the majority of work toward his Doctorate in Psychology.  Another member, the Director of our Quality Control Team, has nearly 30 years of experience in hiring and training qualified home health employees.

We work closely with family members, doctors, and social workers to provide the most effective elderly, homebound, disabled and forgotten home care assistance throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.

Our Home Care Philosophy

What is Home Care?

Home care means that services are provided by a personal caregiver. A vast majority of seniors would rather keep living at home. Using a home care provider enables seniors to preserve this lifestyle, when living alone becomes too difficult. With home care, a personal caregiver visits the client for a period of at least three hours at a time — up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, if needed.

In-home caregivers assist with a wide variety of non-medical related activities of daily living. These include: companionship, fun activities, using the toilet, showering, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, safety-related issues and more.  The tasks can be as simple as opening and reading the mail, reaching for something on a top shelf, bringing in the paper or light housekeeping.

Our Pickup and Delivery Service is unique to the area of home care.

Home Care Doesn’t Need to Be in the Home

Some seniors can still get around pretty well, but may need occasional assistance.  The caregiver goes where the senior goes – to the store, to the doctor, to the hairdresser, to help run other errands, to provide an assuring hand, or help navigate a busy parking lot.

If we are needed we will be there. Our caregivers also provide services in retirement centers, nursing homes, hospitals and more. As an example, our caregivers can accompany a client to the hospital, can help with the complicated processes of admittance and discharge, and will provide assistance while the client is at the hospital.

The Best Ongoing Non-Medical Home Care for Your Loved One

Our Quality Control Team makes scheduled and unscheduled visits to the home while the caregiver is present to evaluate the level of assistance given. Changes in the needs of the client and the ability of the caregiver to adapt to these changes are also evaluated. Our team ensures that a good relationship between the client and caregiver is maintained. In addition, scheduled and unscheduled telephone calls are made to promote client satisfaction.  The clients are also encouraged to call our Quality Control Team to discuss needs at any time to enable us to provide the best service possible.

We also recognize that you have a choice of many providers and we value you as a customer and will do all we can to preserve a good relationship.

Match the Caregiver to the Client

Once we complete our free, initial interview, we use psychological profiles to match our caregiver staff with the client. This approach promotes the formation of a solid and trusting relationship between the caregiver and the client.  We match our caregivers with the client for the long term. A proper match fosters better companionship, which is the essential first step toward an excellent long-term relationship.  The confidence that stems from a good relationship then promotes reliability and trust.

We Specialize in Live-in Care

There is no better feeling of security than knowing that your live-in caregiver is constantly watching over the client to ensure that daily needs are met, to attend to an immediate need, to watch over daily activity and to provide companionship that stimulates mental activity, minimizing boredom and depression.
